A trip to Anglesey and we got good weather. I'm not happy about my halti but I've learnt to suffer in silence (just keep doing nose ploughs).Didn't take long to get to Bull Bay and he met us there to give her a biscuit (what about me?)
We rounded a headland and saw the remains of a brickworks across the bay
(Porth Wen). Would I get to go in the sea?
No! We didn't go to the beach but started to climb the other side. Then we dropped down lots of steps to Hell's Mouth. Then we climbed up lots of steps (after waiting for a party of old people going the other way).![]() |
Then we headed for this old look out tower (when an invasion was expected) and continued round the headland. I could guess what was coming next - more steps. This time we dropped down to an old porcelain works at Porth Llanlleiana where there were more ruins (and not just her when she saw the steps up the other side.

We continued as a family all the way to a church at Llanbadrig where we left the path and joined a road. She wanted to pick blackberries but he wanted to get back (and so did I) so we continued down towards the town with views of Wylfa Power Station over the water.
Finally we reached Cemaes Bay carpark and a welcome drink of water. Then a walk into the village for them to eat lunch before going home. I'm getting the hang of this now. One day we'll be back!.jpg)
